SQL 2008 R2 Reporting Services - Minimun permission required open/view reports
Hello, I'm using SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard with Reporting Services. We've created a few reports using BIDS, and deployed them to the server, and until now it's been great. The DataSources are using SQL Integrated Authentication, and we created a user at the Database with sysadmin rights, this is a test enviroment, so I don't care much about security here, we just wanted it to work and then we will look at details. Now I need to replicate this to the Production enviroment but I would like to know what is the minimum permission required to allow reports to activate the DataSources for users to only view the reports. Also if someone can give me some documentation on this, best practices for securing reporting services, it would be great. Thanks a lot, goDog

The sql account or individual account will need select permissions on the tables you are using if you have embedded the query, or execute permissions on the stored procedure you are usingChuck
