SQL 2005 and SQL 2008 Reporting services ...
Did Microsoft get rid of some reporting functionality in SQL Server 2008 SSRS? Reason I am posing the question is that in SSRS 2005, I have options to create a folder within the reporting portal and upload reports to that specific folder. However, in SSRS
2008, there is either no such option OR I don't have the permission to do so. I am not sure how to add myself to the "Report Content manager" security profile? Any ideas? TIAJagannathan Santhanam

J Santhanam,
What do you mean, when you say you can't create a folder within the reporting portal?
Are talking w.r.t Report Manager? If yes, then I dont think so you are right.
It can be you don't have necessary rights to do so.
Ask your server admin to assign you the necessary rights.

It may be the UAC that is creating problem. Right-click on IE link and 'Run as administrator' after which you will be able to see all the options. you can then add yourselves/users to necessary roles.

Arun - Thanks for the post! That was exactly the problem. UAC is joke IMHO. MS made this a ridiculously complicated security settings!
Thanks!Jagannathan Santhanam
