SP 2007 503 Errors
I'm running a windows 2008 server with SP2007 and keep receiving 503 errors. I've tried a lot of the tricks reported on the site - app pools. However I have 0 luck. Everything was working fine until this morning and now it doesn't work. Any other suggestions?

Check the Log On account in SSP services.
If needed provide account info and restart (or start) services.

Hi wcl10,
Thanks for your question.
Based on my research, you can try the following suggestion:
1) First ensure credentials are correct and that the account has local admin rights (other errors are likely .
2) Verify that they service account(s) has Logon as a service and Logon as batch job enabled in the GPO:
1. Click Start, click Run, type gpedit.msc, and then click OK.
2. Expand Local Computer Policy, expand Computer Configuration, expand Windows Settings, expand Security Settings, expand Local policies, and then click User
Rights Assignment.
3. Double-click Log on as a batch job, click Add user or group, type the name of the service account, and then click OK two times.
4. Double-click Log on as a service, click Add user or group, type the name of the service account, and then click OK two times.
3) Note that if the domain group policy forbids this, the issue will reoccur the next time the policy is applied. Verify that this is not the case and correct if
needed.
