SP2 and rumored ACT connector for Win 7
At one time there was suppose to be an App Compat connector with SCCM SP2 which could be used for Win 7 upgrades. I thought it was announced at the Connect site but have yet to see anything.Wondering if this ACT tool would use the SCCM DB as the repository for the data or if it connects to and ACT server DB. Does anyone have details of this item?

There is now a new "Application Compatibility Toolkit Connector", for Windows 7.Use this and ACT 5.5. It does not use the SCCM database."When using a SQL case sensitive database for Configuration Manager 2007 the ACT database must be hosted on a different SQL server.""The ACT 5.5 database may be hosted on the same SQL Server as Configuration Manager 2007 database if the Windows Server and SQL Server meet the system requirements for both products." The Application Compatibility Toolkit Connector (ACT Connector) assists administrators with collecting the necessary computer and application compatibility information to help plan for a Windows deployment. With this connector update, Administrators will be able to utilize valuable Application Compatibility information right from within the Configuration Manager console. The ACT Connector provides the following functionality within the Admin console: •Inventories installed software applications and creates reports that will assist with determining which applications are Windows compatible. •Retrieves device driver compatibility for installed devices and creates reports that will assist with determining which device drivers will need to be upgraded to support the Windows operating system.
