Hi everybody.

I have a problem with Sharepoint 2010.

On some (2 or 3) clients the navigation for single links in the navigation bar is not working.

Example: User has access to the sharepoint in all areas, but a click in the navigation on "Department" will lead to http://host/Department

The link is not working on the client, but if I add the default.aspx (http://host/Department/default.apsx in the adress bar) to the URL the site displays just fine.

I am running out of clues, has anybody an advice for me where to look at? More than 300 other clients don't have that problem.

it seems to be a problem with the Internet Explorer of your clients.
Have you tried to access to these links from any other machine?

From your description, my understanding is that navigation links are not redirect the two clients to the default.aspx page when click the link to a site.

Please enter URL:http://host/Department in the browser directly, will it work? Any error message?

Only two clients have this issue, it seems to be a client issue, please verify if the issue is related to client machine/IE browser, or account.

1. Change to another PC machine to test.

2. Change to another type browser to test.

3. Try to reset the browser settings, add SharePoint url in IE Trusted zone, IE compatibility mode, or set browsers settings to the same as those clients work well.
