We are getting lots of errors in SMS_WSUS_CONTROL_MANAGER on our primary server. We have different wsus server & that looks to be working fine but in the component status of the primary server we are getting below errors. Also the configmgr software update point role status is showing as critical in the consol.Please suggest. Our primary server is on Windows 2003 & its SCCM 2007 R2 SP2. SMS WSUS Configuration Manager failed to configure proxy settings on WSUS Server "*****". SMS WSUS Configuration Manager failed to monitor WSUS Server "******". ***** is my primary server name. All the message id's are 7000 & 7003.AMIT

Sure that nothing changed? "The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found" The SCCM can't find the WSUS server. Try browse the wsus server url and see if you get the 404 or is working. The issue got sorted by doing following steps: First: From the command line execute the command: C:WINDOWSsystem32> lodctr /R Second: Decompressing the X:WSUS directory & then installing the WSUS 3.0 SP2AMIT
