SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT and MS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER issue
Hi All,
I am using SCCM 2007 SP2 R3. I have 2 problems mentioned below in my SCCM Servers.
1. In SCCM Central Server, SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT component is throwing an error as below with Message ID 7402 contineously after upgrading to SCCM R3 from SCCM R2.
Error - SMS SRS Reporting Point failed to monitor SRS Server on Server1.
2. In SCCM Primary Server, SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER component is throwing an error as below.
Errror - MP has rejected a policy request from GUID:E5945508-09D0-4500-9494-35089F161CB7 because it was not approved. The operating system reported error 2147942405: Access is denied.
The above error repeats for different few machines with different GUID.
What could be the cause of above 2 problems and how can I resolve these issues. Thanks & Regards Uttam

Error 7402, can be fixed by installing Cumulative Update 4 for SQL Server 2008 R2
Find out what machine it is, and check the certificate on that machine. Kent Agerlund | My blogs: http://blog.coretech.dk/author/kea/ and http://scug.dk/ | Twitter @Agerlund | Linkedin: /kentagerlund

Hi,
1# the error 7402 appears when you use a SRS named instance, look here
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/fr-FR/configmgrgeneral/thread/f5e29e81-7092-47af-9978-99720217d358
2# Check Approval Settings under Site Properties/Site Mode, maybe you have manual approval enabled. You can change the setting or approve them manually (select them and do a right click then Approve).Bechir Gharbi | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/bgharbi/ | Time zone : GMT+1
