SMS_Inbox_Manager - error 5 access denied
Implemented SQL reporting services on a remote SQL server. Have added the primary site server's computer account into the local administrators group on the server in question and then setup a new Site System. Then created the Reporting Services Point role. Looking at logs on remote system and whilst the srsrpsetup.log indicates successful the smsexec.log reports: "Waiting for SMS_INBOX_MANAGER to create the "Status manager" inbox ... The operating system reported error 5: Access is denied" Any thoughts why this is happening?. Site system was created with the Site server computer account redio button selected therefore it should have rights I have also tried completely removing and readding the site systemIan Burnell, London (UK)

Hi, Yes have read these threads. Problem is I do not have access to the SQL server and the DBA wants to do it his way !. He has setup an Domain Local group with DBR access to the SCCM database and then added a global group with SCCM Administrators to that group. Then under Data Source Authentication said to use "Windows Integrated Security" rather than specifying a names Domain account. The theory being that my own account should pass through to have access to SCCM database. I found the Reporting Services option for the remote SQL server greyed out all day so I removed and readded the Reporting Services Point and it then sprung into life. He did have to change permissions on the SQL reporting Server side. On this he set up two Domain Local groups one with read access to the reports and one for authoring and then added normal SCCM report users into one and the SCCM Administrators global group into the other Anyway, suddenly I WAS able to copy the reports over towards the end of yesterday I notice the error 5 is still showing in the smsexec.log on the remote server but it doesn't appear to affect anything I guess if its working then its ok but I'd like to have clarity for documentation and future setupsIan Burnell, London (UK)
