SMS_EXECUTIVE error in components
Hello, Site status/component status I see the following error message under SMS_EXECUTIVE Could not connect to registry hive HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\SMS on compute Then I see all kinds of warnings and error messages under other components. Such as SMS_DATABASE_NOTIFICATION,SMS_DISCOVERY_DATA_MANAGER, etc... I figure I can start with this and move on to the others. Thank you in advance for your help

Thanks for the replies. I have ran the SCCM SP2 repair from install option and then reinstalled WSUS and it seems to be working again. I have cleared all the errors and warnings from the component status and then reset all the error counts and rebooted and everything seems to be running smoothly with no error. But I do get the following I am looking at the Software updates category and in the chart I see 98.11% unknown. Although in the All Systems Collection they are all there. IN the system event viewer I see the following error message The description for Event ID 10016 from source Microsoft-Windows-DistributedCOM cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. Although in the All Systems Collection all the computers are listed there correctly with their computer names, there are no unknown listings. I do not know if the below error message would affect this. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: application-specific Local Launch {24FF4FDC-1D9F-4195-8C79-0DA39248FF48} {B292921D-AF50-400C-9B75-0C57A7F29BA1} NT AUTHORITY SYSTEM S-1-5-18 LocalHost (Using LRPC) I am running Windows 2008 R2 64 SCCM 2007 SP2 64 Anyideas? Thanks for your advanced help I hope I am more specific

Open regedit and search for those GUIDs. You will then get an idea which DCOM component causes that message. I would wait some time - I guess that the 98,11% unknown issue will solve itself (given that the site is working fine).Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de
