SMS_EXECTIVE missing after disk full
Hello, I have SCCM 2007 running fine in central site and recently I setup a primary site SCCM server for DR. I followed this guide. http://www.virmansec.com/forums/p/218/593.aspx It was working fine, until the C: drive got full due to replication and I had to kill the network connectivity to login via console and extend the disk. Now after successfully, extending disk, I see that the component services are not starting up and I do not see SMS_EXECUTIVE in services to be able to restart. I tried adding/removing site roles and rebooting system, but still no good. CATEGORY : SMS_EXECUTIVE MESSAGE : On 10/31/11 18:11:39, component SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER on computer SCCM-DR1 reported: SMS Site Component Manager failed to reinstall this component on this site system. similar mesage follows for alot of other components. Can someone please help?

Hi, Did you tried a site reset. This operation will recreate the sms executive component and reinstalls the sms_site_component_manager service then the sms_excecutive service http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb694286.aspxBechir Gharbi | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/bgharbi/ | Time zone : GMT+1

Oddly enough I had a problem where performance counters were corrupt http://sms-hints-tricks.blogspot.com/2011/08/role-keeps-installing.html Not saying that is your problem but take a look. There is a kb article about SMS_Exec constantly reinstalling. http://www.sccm-tools.com http://sms-hints-tricks.blogspot.com
