SMSSIG$ Directory Missing from Secondary Server/DP
I just noticed this past week that SMSSIG$ is missing on one of my Secondary Servers. How can I restore that? SCCM backup was not configured for this server. I've inherited this environment and I am going through it. The server in question is a DC and is running Windows 2k3. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated......

If you can, I'd recommend just reinstalling the DP after ensuring that IIS/WebDAV settings are correct. We had to do the same thing for a box we had issues with. Eventually just upgraded to 08 Server for that DP and was done with it.

If you send a package to the DP on that site does it process it? If so it should create all the required folders. If not, reinstall the DP. John Marcum | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jmarcum |

When I look at the package status for distribution points, this server as a 0 for version and for "installed". It was there until about 2 months ago (assuming). I will try reinstalling the DP.

On Friday I went into the DP properties to take a look and prepare for re-installation as Thomas suggested. I noticed, for some reason, the drive designation for the package location was blank. I put the root drive there and noticed hours later that the missing directory was back and the latest packages for that site were now trickling into the directory used for distribution. Has anyone ever seen this?
