SMB Access not possible

Hi, there is a solution for Windows 8.1 stating that setting the registry key

Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation\Parameters" RequireSecureNegotiate -Value 0 -Force

is workaround to access SMB servers without signature. That seems not to work for a Windows 10 client. I cannot even create that key in the registry with that name (RequireSecureNegotiate) using the integrated administrator account. Is there another way to achieve access to an old N

This value is set to 0 by default on my Windows 10 Enterprise computer.

Please check the permission of this registry key and try to import my exported one as below, please copy to notepad and save as fix.reg. Double click to run it, and before this, please backup your keys:

Dear Kate, thank you for your reply, my registry looks exactly as yours and it doe not work on my computer. I will be away from the office next week and work on thus issue afterwards, best regards, Ralph
