Hi All,

I have created new web application for my sites with web application name http:spserver-2-002:80 and i configured all the basic settings for My sites , now i can access my user profile using about me button .

For some reason i have changed my existing web sites web applications URL to different one using AAM , also am able to access my SharePoint site collections using new URL . also i tried adding new AAM for my sites web applications to access with URL but its not worked .

i tried the following steps ;

Adding new AAM for my sites web application (http:mysites.helpdesk.com)

Interchanging default and Intranet sites URL in AAM.

Adding new URL in my sites host location.

Adding New URL in IIS Bindings

then logged in to the my existing site collection and i tried to access my site user profile via about me link but its not working.

Actually am trying to access my sites via full Intranet URL instead of server name , i tried all the above steps but its not worked.

how can i resolve this issue? Please Advise.

Any update for my issue?  i also tried with extending my sites web application like below and adding new URL to my sites host location , But its not worked , please advise.

New URL    -  http://mysites.domain.com  

Existing URL   -  http://sps-2-003

Hello did you Added DNS entry for the new AAM URL. If added check the tracer route of the created new URL if in case any firewall or any network port has been blocked the alternate access mapping URL which you have used.

I tried this already , I got reply after adding DNS entry for new URL , but when I try to access my sites with new URL its not let me login to the site , am getting the browser popup always.

If you're testing from the local server then it's quite possible you're hitting the loopback check.

Am able to access my sites from my local machine after updating new AAM DNS entry in my local machine.

Do i need to update DNS entry to all our local users system?

The new AAM URL is not reaching with out DNS entry in local system.

Hi Mani,

If you are able hit your new mysite URL and you are getting login pop up contentiously. You need to disable loop back adapter for all WFE servers.
