Hi, Regarding the OMCF, I just found the following document: How to Create or Remove a Connector by Using the Operations Manager Class Libraries http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb437580.aspx In addition, I found the ConnectorInfo.Description Field may be related: ConnectorInfo.Description Field http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.enterprisemanagement.connectorframework.connectorinfo.description.aspx The Description can be seen in the Operations Manager in the Product Connectors box. The Description is used to easily identify a connector, allowing for subscriptions to be made to the connector. Hope this helps. Thanks. Nicholas Li TechNet Community Support

I checked it , i still did not find the version details , Here is what i am looking for . I have my own connecter written to fetch the alerts from SCOM , Since there are some changes in Alert URL in 2012 , i need to support both 2007 and 2012 versions of SCOM, for that i would like to detect the version SCOM where my connector is pointing to : 2007 or 2012 and form the alert url in the code accordingly. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// I ran below command in SCOM 2012 : Get-SCOMManagementGroup and see the version number as : 7.0.8560.0 For SCOM 2007 , i see SCOM Version as version: 6.1.7221.0 1.Would like to know are these version number? 2. can i use this for differentiating 2007 and 2012 SCOM setup versions. Thanks Shivashiva

Hi Yes the version numbers will allow you to determine the version of the Management Group. You might want to SCOM 2007 R2 - http://systemscentre.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/operations-manager-2007-r2-scom-version.html SCOM 2012 - 7.0.8560.0 - I haven't seen any changes to the webconsole in SCOM 2012 SP1 but if you have a lab, you might want to check your connector on that as well for a heads up on potential issues. The main item to consider is that it will have its own version number to take into account. Hi, It seems Set-scomwebaddressSettings doesnt conform to description and examples of article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh918456.aspx or it's issue with this function as it works without error but doesnt change URL (on SCOM 2012 + UR2).

So can I consider this as confirmation , that we can change WebconsoleUrl , I mean can be changed from http://servername:port/OperationsManger to http://Servername:port/OppMan Thanks Shivashiva
