SCVMM2012 SP1 and APP Controller SP1: Pass through disk problem

Hi!

I have fully working Hyper-V 2012 cluster working, with 3 nodes.

The SCVMM 2012 SP1 and the APP Controller are installed in separate machines. All servers and VMs have all the updates installed.

Everything was working fine until I nedd to add a pass through disk to one of the VMs. When I do this, no one can control that VM using APP Controller. As soon as I click the VM, I see a yellow bar saying: Retrieved data is incomplete.

I can't mount an ISO, neither I can open the console. I always get the error: The requested virtual machine was not found.

The VM can be fully managed using SCVMM Console, I can only manage it in APP Controller when I remove the pass through disk.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Pedro

Hi!

Just installed "Update Rollup 2 for Microsoft System Center 2012 SP1 - App Controller (KB2815569)". Even thought I don't find any similar issue in the KB description, the problem is solved!

Hi Pedro,

I have exactly the same problem, but installing the rollup 2 for SCVMM 2012 SP1, didn't resolve my problem. I really like to know what is my problem.

Do you have any idea if you did another action to resolve your problem?

Thanks

Inge

Hi Inge!

At the time I installed Update Rollup 2 the issue disappeared, but I try the same procedure with other VMs, I still get the same error.

I'm sorry for not updating this issue here. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi.

I have been running a premier support incident on this issue (ID 113010210109716 / 112072729934235).

The issue has been repro'ed, and a fix has been scheduled for RU3, which should be released around july).
