Could a moderator change the thread to a question please? Now to the question.. I haven't seen this done myself. I can imagine a few things that are important: - these are hard to discover as they are plug and play... would mean you have to run discoveries often in order to find them in the first place. Be carefull with this. - Next would be how to talk to it... Perhaps it creates eventlog entries for you on the host it is plugged into? Perhaps you can use a performance counter on the host once it is plugged in? These would be my best bet, although I dont expect that much from it. You could get lucky, perhaps in combi with some software that runs on a host to control your device... - Check if the device has anything that you can connect to... I am guessing most of these will not have something like SNMP, because they dont have fixed ip addresses as usb devices. Perhaps some other kind of API?Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My BICTT Blog) - Microsoft Community Contributor 2011 Recipient
