SCOM R2 Admin Resource Kit
Does anyone use this? It's very buggy. I was wondering if Microsoft plans on offering an update any time soon.

Scott, have you used it? In particular, the Maintenance Mode scheduler?
I tried it, and the recurrence feature does not work.
We have a server that gets rebooted through a scheduled task once a week. I set up the SCOM scheduler to put that server in Maintenance mode during the reboot time frame. It works the first time. But, it does not change the "scheduled"
time. So the next time the server gets rebooted, it is not in maintenance mode. And, to add to that, within a few minutes after the first (and only) successful scheduled maintenance mode, the Job History Event logs in the OM console begin to get
entries every 30 seconds saying "Job scheduled due to a missed start time". If I go back into the scheduler utility and look at the current schedule for that server, the Start Date is still set to the date of the first, and only, time that it ran successfully.
Also on that screen is a red exclamation with the text "Invalid Data Entry, date cannot start in the past or before the end date".
And the schedule is set correctly with a "recurrence", not "run once".

Reason I asked is b/c there are several tools in the Resource kit, not just the MM scheduler, and yes I have used the tools, but I've not used the recurrence feature. Let me check around.

Nicholas - have you actually tried this feature?
The majority of your replies on this forum are links on "how to use the product". As I stated in one of my posts here, I made sure I had checked off recurrence. So this is not an "operator error" issue. Its' a bug in the software.
