SCOM Process Monitors
I created a Process monitor using the templates. This works OK
However it appears to be very limited as far as further configuration is concerned. For example once the process monitor is created if I right click on it and select properties,
I only have 4 tabs available.
I want to add my own text to the “alert description” and or “company knowledge”. Neither of these two options appears to be available. Also the
Overrides tab is not available
Is there a way to achieve the above (even if it means editing a database fields directly)
Thanks All

Hi
You are correct that the wizard provides limited options - what happens when you use the wizard is that OpsMgr creates a class with the name that you gave when running the wizard and automatically creates collection rules and alert monitors targeted at this
class. If you look at the rules and monitors and scope by the name you gave when you ran the wizard then you'll see these rules and monitors.
Most will be disabled but if you stated that you wanted to collect data \ generate alerts when you ran the wizard then you'll also see that an override exists for the group you targeted when you ran the wizard. The override will be set to enable = true.
You can also extend the process monitor by adding other rules \ monitors targetted at the "process" class:

Note in the above url, there is a bug in the process monitor that doesn't allow you to set the MB threshold to greater than 100. The workaround for this is given in the above url.
Further customisation is possible by exporting the management pack and editing the xml, either directly or via the Authoring console.
