SCOM Management server connector issue
Hi All,
I'm seeing the following msg in Operations Manager eventlog for new agent. Does anyone know what this might be?
Event Type: Error
Event Source: OpsMgr Connector
Event Category: None
Event ID: 21016
OpsMgr was unable to set up a communications channel to RMS and there are no failover hosts. Communication will resume when RMS is available and communication from this computer is allowed.
Please assist.

Hi,
So, from the event description the agent cannot connect to the management server. There can be loads of reasons for this, can you provide more information, especially things like:
How did you deploy the agent (discovery wizard, manually)?
If manually, what parameters did you specify?
Is the agent computer in the same AD forest as the management server?
Is there anything relevant in the Operations Manager event log on the management server?
Is name resolution working, can you ping the management server by name and FQDN?
Can you successfully establish a TCP connection from the agent to the management server on port 5723?

Hi,
Please also check if any error is logged in the agent event log. Is the agent stuck in Pending Management? If it is the case, please check if the following article will help:

The following thread also discussed a similar issue:
Agent installed but still pending:
