I have read various posts but still I cannot get it to work. We have Lync 2010 one server and scom 2007 r2 CU3 . I have setup a IM channel with all combinations but without any luck. I have a runas account and configured the notification profile. I have enabled the runas account for IM in Lync. This is the error I get Microsoft.Collaboration.OperationTimeoutException: This operation has timed out.: Sip response: 0x0 (0x0).

If I configure it to use TLS on port 5061 I get two errors System.InvalidOperationException: Endpoint should be in Unregistered state to Register. Can you test something for me: When you enable sip on the lync server: http://www.confusedamused.com/notebook/enabling-unencrypted-tcp-connections-to-lync-on-port-5060/ and then configure the scom to use 5060, what is happening? Does it send a message?Best regards, Mark

I found a post that tells me to add a key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Hashes\SHA] "Enabled"=dword:0000000 This worked for me!

I changed the port to 5060 that works for the port issue .. I do however still get error ".InvalidOperationException: Endpoint should be in Unregistered state to Register.. "
