SCOM DB RAID configuration recommendations?
We just inherited (2) 14 bay Fiber Channel hard drive enclosures and a Drive Controller. Each enclsoure has the full 14 FC drives (146GB each) and equals about 2 TB of space so I can have a RAID 10 with 2TB. Here is my question, is it better to do 1 RAID 10 and just partition for each of the SQL Databases (OpsMGR and OPSDW), SQL Logs (OPSMGR and OPSDW) and Tempdb. Or should I do multiple RAID 10 for each database. For instance Since I have 28 drives in all I would take 4 and RAID 10 for the tempdb, 6 drives and RAID 10 for the OpsMGR DB, 4 drives and RAID 10 for OPSMGRDW DB, etc.
