SCOM Clustering
I am not sure if anyone has come across the following problem and would appreciate any help. They are running SCOM R2 and is clustered on Server 2008 R1 The SCOM services are currently failed over to the other node and when I try to fail back to the original RMS it receives the following error Event ID 26380 System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'd:\SDK Service State\MomAuth.xml'. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options) at System.IO.StreamWriter..ctor(String path, Boolean append, Encoding encoding, Int32 bufferSize) at System.IO.StreamWriter..ctor(String path, Boolean append, Encoding encoding) at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Mom.Sdk.Authorization.AuthManager.InternalDownload() at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Mom.Sdk.Authorization.AuthManager.Download() at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Mom.ServiceDataLayer.SdkDataAccess.InitializeAzmanStore() at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Mom.ServiceDataLayer.SdkDataAccess.Initialize() at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Mom.Sdk.Service.SdkSubService.AsyncStartCallback(Object notUsed) at System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state) at System.Threading._ThreadPoolWaitCallback.PerformWaitCallbackInternal(_ThreadPoolWaitCallback tpWaitCallBack) at System.Threading._ThreadPoolWaitCallback.PerformWaitCallback(Object state)

Hi, Is the D:\ a shared disk on your cluster ? When you ran the command line to create your RMS cluster you specified a disk ressource. Maybe you can try removing and adding again the failing node of your rms cluster by using the ManagementServerConfigTool options. Regards.Supervize Me

System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'd:\SDK Service State\MomAuth.xml'. Above is your problem. Are you sure this resource exists in you cluster config? In your case the D: drive should be a cluster disk. If it is now online, you should check your dependencies (the disk must be online before the SDK service tries to start).Regards, Marc Klaver http://jama00.wordpress.com/

Hi, Regarding the “Event ID: 26380”, please also refer to the following Knowledge Base article: How to manually rebuild Performance Counter Library values http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300956 Hope this helps. Thanks for the help guys. Looked in the cluster administrator and found some errors Looks like this is the issue http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc756229(WS.10).aspx Its not worth trying to fix as it looks like they have set up the cluster wrong from the start so I have to do a disaster recovery from SCOM and promote a management server to a RMS...fun Cheer
