Hi Marnix, Thanks for providing that link. But unfortunately none of the listed scenarios/resolution worked for me. I've posted a comment there and looking forward to get some help. Thanks.

Hi, Generally, the error “80070005” means “Access is denied”. Regarding this error, we need to check the related account first. In the current situation, please check the account which you use to deploy agents has proper permissions. Just for a test, you can also try again with another account which has enough privileges. Sometimes, access can be blocked by some security software, if you have this kind of software installed on the client, please disable them and have a try. Thanks. Hello Justin, This error will appear in a large number of situations. You can check the following to track down the error: -Is the server in a DMZ or any other isolated network segment? -Is the server an ISA server which is blocking the installation? -Does the install account have enough permissions to install the agent? -Doe you have a firewall client running? -... If anyone has more tips, feel free to add them to the list Regards,-Jeffrey

This error will appear in a large number of situations. it doesn't, it only appears in 1 situation. When the install account doesn't have enough permissions to install. It might be difficult to find out where it's failing. However, most likely it's just adding domain\SCOMsvcacct to the local admins of that server.Rob Korving http://jama00.wordpress.com/

In my case the Agent couldn't be installed because my monitored server could not resolve correctly the name of the scom management server. So I add the name in the hosts files and the agent could finally being installed. Greetings.
