Trying to install system center 2012 RC, Even after installing the viewer control from the link provided, it wouldn't detect it and keeps failing on the viewer control check. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the viewer. Some of the blogs on the net has the 2008 sp1 viewer control , however the link in RC points to 2010 viewer control, is that an issue? Anyone else run into this?

Hi For GA \ RTM, it is the 2010 viewer control that will be required. I think (seem to remember) that for the RC it was the 2008 SP1 viewer control that was required ... have you tried installing the 2008 viewer control and seeing if it passes the pre-req check? Good news - when you come to upgrade to SCOM 2012GA you will need to install the Report Viewer 2010 redistributable - the pre-requisites for the upgrade will check for it. Simple, if you have older RC version then go for Report viewer 2008 otherwise Report Viewer 2010. I was having the same issue but got resolved by doing the above
