SCOM 2012. Move Operational Database to different server. Is documentation wrong?
Hi I am moving Operational Database to different SQL server according to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh278848.aspx In step 8 I can't find dbo.MT_Microsoft$SystemCenter$ManagementGroup table. I have only dbo.MT_ManagementGroup. My SCOM 2012 env upgraded from SCOM 2007 R2 CU5. Should I make changes in dbo.MT_ManagementGroup table instead of dbo.MT_Microsoft$SystemCenter$ManagementGroup ? Thanks. , ...

Same for Data Warehouse. There is no dbo.MT_Microsoft$SystemCenter$DataWarehouse table (there is dbo.MT_DataWarehouse only). , ...

Hi In SCOM 2007 R2 when you moved the OperationsManager and OperationsManagerDW you needed to modify the dbo.MT_ManagementGroup and dbo.MT_DataWarehouse . If you upgraded your environment the it seems the tables stay the same. I could not verify it but I would try to modify the value SQLServerName_6B1D1BE8_EBB4_B425_08DC_2385C5930B04 in dbo.MT_ManagementGroup and MainDatabaseServerName_16781F33_F72D_033C_1DF4_65A2AFF32CA3 in dbo.MT_DataWarehouse. These values just have the new SQL Server path set. Make a backup of the DB's before making any changes! Stefan Blog: http://blog.scomfaq.ch
