SCOM 2007 R2 Text file monitoring
Hi this is my first post on SCOM forum, I have a script wich write a log file in one of my monitored computers under c:\tmp\logfile_date.txt. I follow this tutorial http://blogs.technet.com/b/operationsmgr/archive/2010/07/19/how-to-monitor-new-line-entries-in-a-log-or-text-file-using-opsmgr-2007.aspx to monitor text files , but it doesn´t have efect, i dont have any alert when i modify the file on the monitored server. My log file has only one field, it could be OK or KO. In fill the forms of wizard with these: Directory --> c:\tmp Pattern --> log_*.* -- At the next screen i fill : Parameter name : Params/Param[1] Operator : "Match wildcard” Value: "?" After fill the wizard I mark rule as available to my machines group. If tutorial is right , scom is going to generate an alert in when i do any modification of the file , well, i can´t see any alert , even i wait for 2 hours for the refresh ... Is there any way to debug this? I need add to SCOM any management pack or extra feature? I need do another thing? Thanks in advance :)
