Thank you for this post and solution. I had the same issue of my SCOM UI crashing when trying to enable audit collection. I love how Microsoft makes its own products incompatible with themselves. How embarrassing. MS should be ashamed.

Actually this issue were fixed with a Cumulative Update (I believe it were the CU5). Have you a latest cumulative update installed on your console computer?http://OpsMgr.ru/
