SCOM 2007 R2 Customize State View with
Hello to all, first of all, sorry for my (maybe) bad english, but i´m a native german speaker. I´ve a question about the state views in OpsMgr Console. At the moment we are implementing SCOM 2007 R2 for a customer. We are monitoring about 50 servers at the central site of the customer with OpsMgr Agent. This is working like a charm. Now the customer want´s to use Agenless monitoring to monitor the State of his servers in the branch offices. For this we discovered a Test-server and started monitoring - this is working very well also. We also have created a dynamic custom group which we use to create a custom state view for all branch office servers. The question now is: Is it possible to create a state view, where we can write a custom text to every branch office server. Our goal is, to see the state of the server (good, warning or error), the server name and the location of the server. The first two options are no problem, we are getting this dynamicly from OpsMgr, but we can´t find a way to manually create a column where we can fill in location of the server (e.g. Vienna or San Francisco) It would be really great if someone could point us to a direction how to do this. Thanks so much for your responses, Mario

Hi Mario, Well not that this is a native SCOM solution... But if you use Savision Live Maps you can basically create any view you want and write things as you like. You can make great dashboards with it. And they have a free version with a few maps. www.savision.com . People will look at the screen more if it looks good and if it displays the info you want to.Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My BICTT Blog)
