SCOM 2007 R2 - Biztalk alert question
Good morning everyone!
There is an alert in the BIZTALK MPs that I want to enable. The monitor is NUMBER OF MESSAGES. The business wants to set a threshold of 25 on all queues. I understand all the settings on the override except for the threshold. The inner
sensitivity is set to 2.81 and outer to 3.31.
Are these numbers actually message numbers?? Can I just put 20 for the inner and 25 for the outer sensitivity and set only to alert on critical??
Or do these numbers mean something else? If so, how would I make it to equal 25?
THanks in advance!

This would make it a self tuning threshold. Suggest disabling that monitor/rule and then creating a threshold based equivalent. If you know what counter it is looking at this is a straghtforward thing to do.Microsoft Corporation

Thanks for the reply!!
I go into perfmon on one of the MSQ servers and under counters I see MSMQ QUEUE and MESSAGES IN QUEUE.
So how do I setup a THRESHOLD BASED alert?

Authoring pane -> Monitors -> Windows Performance counters -> Static Threshold -> Single Threshold -> Simple threshold
Follow the wizard.Regards,
