SCOM 2007 R2
About Agent Installation:
1)When we install a agent , Is there a flow that we can check ( Like we Discover the clinet , Push the agent , then all we see is Success or Failure) , What happened between .Failure is not Logged in the AgentLogs on the Managemnet server. Only the
successful ones are logged i guess.
Which service install the agent , Is there a process that we should see in Process Explorer / task Mgr
On the Agnet side apart from the EventVwr is there any thing else which we can check for Agent communication with Server.
2)We do not have AD integration and are not planing for that as of now. Question Is?
When we install the agent we have to select the MS to which it should Reports. Supposedly if MS fails , Is the Agent going to report to RMS.If Yes (How would it do that - i mean the failover kind of - Is it automated or We have to manually intervein
on all the managed agents)
Will the same hold true if i have 2 MS , switching from 1 MS to another in case of failure.

Both successful and
failed agent-deployments can be assessed from the administration pane in the SCOM-console. An error message is generated during the
deployment which displays in the deployment dialog window.

You can look for something like momagentinstaller.exe or momagent....exe

The agent adds its own eventlog where you can view all communications (both informative and erroneous) with the RMS

I think there won't be an automated failover, as the point of having multiple MS' is to balance load. Although the feature can be used to perform failovers, you'll have to do it manually or with an external tool.
