SCOM & SCVMM Integration
Hi All, I'm deploying a new enviroment which include Hyper-V (cluster), SCVMM 2008 R2 and SCOM 2007 R2. All components are up and running including the SCOM / SCVMM integration. The Hyper-V cluster will be hosting infra server and VDI machines. We will be using SCOM to monitor only the infra servers. When I look and "Windows Computers" within the SCOM console I see all the VM's on the Hyper-V cluster including the VDI VM's. Only the infra servers are provided with a SCOM Agent. Is there a way to hide the VM's which are not provide with a SCOM agent (e.g. VDI VM's)? Greets, Coen

Hi Coen, Hyper-V MP will monitor the hyper-v components depending of the classes has been defined into the own MP. I mean, if there is a class that refer to a component, it will be monitored, either is a specific component of the host or of a VM. So, under my experience with this MP (It has been very hard to set into my enviroment ) I recomend you to set all your Views (Alerts and State views) you choose specifics sources taht refers only the componets you re interested to monitoring.
