SCOM: Monitors on Print Queues?
Hello, I have the Print Server Management Pack installed but it seems all my Print Server appear as "Not Monitored"? OS: Windows Server 2000 & Windows Server 2003 Under Monitoring > Microsoft Windows Print Server > Microsoft Windows Server 2000 and 2003 Print Services > State View All servers appear "Not Monitored" ??? Under Monitoring > Windows Computers they are fine healthy... the 2008 are okay with their own MP... Nothing is set to send alert to the console in the MP, by default? Thanks, Dom System Center Operations Manager 2007 / System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2 / Forefront Client Security / Forefront Identity Manager

Hi, Please check if the following article will help: http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2008/08/27/print-server-mp-updated-added-support-for-server-2008-to-6-0-6392-0.aspx as mentioned above "The State View under 2000 and 2003 Print servers is not so good. It is targeting a class that doesn't have any state... as there are no monitors targeting this class, so nothing would ever populate this view... and the default fields listed are not useful at all. I would be inclined to recommend ignoring this view, and creating a new one, targeting "Print Server" class - which actually has monitors targeting it - so it will show state. " Hope it helps. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
