SCE with clients not in an AD
Hi I am a newbie with SCE and are trying to assess if SCE can be usable for us. We make a software that is delivered as an unattended install to clients that connect remotely via 3G through webservices to download and install our software updates. As this is different customers they do not belong to any AD of ours. Can SCE be used by us to push out our updates even though they do not belong to our AD or any AD? Thanks! Brgds Christian

Hi, To manager the workgroup-joined computers in SCE, please refer to the following guides: How to Prepare the Essentials Management Server to Manage Workgroup-Joined Computers http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc339464.aspx How to Install Agents on Workgroup-Joined Computers in Essentials http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc339469.aspx Hope this helps. Hi Nicholas, Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to draw the conclusion that SCE can be used on computers that don't belong to any corporate network? Maybe you can confirm this? Brgds Christian
