SCE installed on new computers not being added to computer groups

When adding new computers to SCE 2010 they are visable in Administration, Agent Managed but never show up in Computer Groups.

I have read that this might be a problem with computers that have been installed using an image.

This is a new computer, fresh out of box, Windows 7 x64.

I see it as healthy in Administration, but I never see it in computer groups. Tried restarting services and the server, but it never shows.

Could there be a problem with my sql database?

Also, get the same result when removing computers and re-adding them to SCE 2010. All computers have not been installed with an image.

Tried the suggestion of deleting the SusClientId on the computers that where already managed, but they fail to show in the computer groups.

SCE 2010 on a Server 2008 R2 server 4gig ram.

Any ideas would be great.

Thank you.

Hi,

Do you mean the computer is not listed under All Windows Computers or All Windows Clients group? How about other Windows 7 computers?

If it is Windows 7 SP1, please try the following update.

An update has been released to resolve issues where System Center Essentials updating Windows 7 SP1-based computers with locally published content may fail with error 0x80070570

Thanks.

Thank you for the reply.

Yes, the computers are not listed in the "All Windows Computers" or the "All Windows Clients" group. They are visible in Administration still.

All computers are Windows 7 SP1 a mix of 32/64.

I tried installing the update you referred me to on a computer that is not showing up in the groups listed above, but it said "Install is not needed since Windows Update Agent is already installed."

So far i have added 3 computers all Win7 SP1. 1 shows as healthy, 1 has Warning and 1 is not monitored.

None of them ever show in the Computer groups listed above.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
