Hello, I hope someone can guide me to debug this problem I have with SCE: I am using SCE ver. 6.0.1885 (not sure whether it is SP1 or SP2) I have had SCE running for 6 months now. But recently, all new computers I added to SCE have the Mgmt status error, Last contacted: Not yet contacted, Model: Unknown, OS: windows 0.0 I verified the the registry setting for WUSERVER, WUSTATUSSERVER entries are correct: https://66users.perad.ci.la.ca.us:8531 66users is my SCE server. I don't have any other WSUS prior to installing SCE. Hello Nicholas, Thank you very much for the reply. I tried the suggestion on the first link, and it did not work: 1. Firewall is off in our environment. 2. Automatic service is started on clients. 3. WSUS URL are set correctly on the clients. I recalled at one time I did try to upgrade the SCE version to the latest hot fix and there was a upgrade from WSUS 2.0 to WSUS 3.0 I am not sure if the upgrade from a 2.0 to 3.0 caused this problem I found a KB # 903262 which suggested that I do the following on the problem client PC. 1. Stop the wuauserv service on the client. 2. Delete the registry entries on client: Pingid, AccountdomainSid, SusClientID, SusClientIDValidation 3. Start the wuauserv service. 4. issue command: wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization /detectnow That seems to clear the problem. The client appear correctly on the SCE console after that. I have about 150 computers that have this Unknown/ Not Contact status error. Could you please suggest me a fix which I can apply to all these computers? And why is it the newly discovered computer also reports Unknown/ Not contacted error? Is it problem with SCE or with WSUS ? Thank you very much.Thank You.
