You can try to clear the cache by running the SCE console from the command line with the option: “/clearcache” and see how it works: Example: "C:\Program Files\System Center Essentials 2007\Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.SCE.UI.Console.exe" /clearcache 2. Thanks for your response. WSUS 3.0 SP2 ended up fixing my problem. After installation, the console does not crash, and synchronization of updates are successfull. I got the service pack here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=A206AE20-2695-436C-9578-3403A7D46E40

This is a server error please check your assembly versions.
