Hi Derek,Did you register the.mof and .mfl files with the following command:"For /f %s in ('dir /b *.mof *.mfl') do mofcomp %s"? Hi Yog,Thanks for the suggestions. I had already read/tried the first article. But I did try it again. And I still get the same error when installing. Note:I am attempting a manual install for my troubleshooting since it sounded like it was more likely to work.The 2nd article was for uninstallable windows updates. I can try that but I am not sure which NTUninstall#### folder to use. I have only 2 that are dated 2009 (from February). Is there a specific update I should try?Another note: I previously had a VM with the evaluation version of SCE on this problem computer. And I did have the client installed on this computer then. But I did follow the directions when uninstalling the VM. (not sure if this info can help)Any more suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks again,Derek

Thanks again for your assistance,I followed your 3 suggestions. I removed the SCE Helper client, removed any mention of my workstation in SCE, and I checked AD and removed an old security group (from VM).I still get the same error when attempting a manual install. It does say that look for 'Value 3' in the log. When I searched the log for 'value 3' I have these lines before it with errors.
