Hi, SCE does not have this feature. As you mentioned, you need to install console on remote computer. Accessing console via URL is available in System Center Operations Manager. OK, I understand that you can't access SCE via URL. But you have given me System Center Operations manager instruction. Would you please tell steps how to install SCE Console only on XP Machines?

Hi, If you would like to install SCE console only on XP machine, during the configuration of SCE features in the Configure Wizard, please choose manually discover and manage new computers and devices. After that, run the Computer and Device Discovery Wizard from the Essentials console. Use this wizard to discover XP machines and then install SCE client on them. For the detailed steps, please refer to the following article: Essentials Computer and Device Discovery: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff603567.aspxPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Thanks for your info. I just want to know if somewhere I can find the steps to install console only. There will be a point when I have select some essential settings, which includes database, policies settings etc. I had lots of trouble to configure SCE initially, which I have done almost 3 years back and I can remember those steps anymoer. I do not want to make unnecessary changes, which may destroy my current setting. I would not be bothered, if SCE would not be managing WSUS and other GPO inheritance on domain computer. So if anyone has the steps-by-step guide how to install SCE console ONLY, it would be help. Is there anyway that I can also give less privileges to a user on SCE, Let say, privileges to deploying software, discovering computers?
