SCE 2007 console crashes when creating a software deployment
When attempting to create a new software deployment the console crashes either when I select the .exe or .msi, or when I hit the create button to create the package. The files are stored on my local machine. The console is installed on a Windows 7

I don't know that this applies to me. Everything else works just fine in the console. It's only when I try to create a software deployment package that the console crashes. I can successfully create the install package on the management
server, it is the remote consoles' that crash when trying to create a software deployment package.
I found this thread
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-us/systemcenter/thread/77F8F7CD-0777-4FD0-8857-D5032D2BA706 which suggests adding the AD user that I am using to open the remote SCE 2007 console into the
local WSUS Administrator's User group on the SCE 2007 server.
I added the user but still receive the same error when creating an install package using a remote console. No errors are generated in the event viewer when the console crashes.
