SCE 2007 SP1 install FAILS on WS2008 64 bit
SCE 2007 SP1 install FAILS on WS2008 64 bit with error 1603. Visually fail occures on menagement stage, after loading managenet packs, before reporting.Environment:# Clean WS2008 Std SP2 64 bit,# .Net Fram 3.5 SP1# SQL Server 2005 Std 64 bit SP3# IIS & Reporting Sevices works fine (checked localhost\reports)# Server is domain-joined, domain namespece is convential (not disjoined, according to KB937831), dc is available# Action account is domain admin# No other update and softwareI've tried to install with remote SQL, to install WSUS prior SCE setup. I think my case not the same. Install started and fails in the middle of something, please view my log.In thread you linked poster even could not start install process (not supported condirions). In my case, install is going until something happens. MCITP: Enterprise Administrator, MCSA
