SCE2010 - Windows Update Agent Connection Unit Montior
Hello, i've read a lot of solutions here, most helped me, but I'm stuck now ! When a Client is added to SCE10(Server is added without any problem), the Agent Status shows a Warning and the Update Status is Unknown. The Health Explorer says that 'The Computer is not configured to automatic updates', I have tried some solutions but nothing helps. I think it is something with the WSUS Connectivity... Client has following Errors: ID: 21016 OpsMgr was unable to set up a communications channel to ESS.Server.local and there are no failover hosts. ID: 21006 The OpsMgr Connector could not connect to ESS.SERVER.local:5723. The error code is 10061L ! The target computer is not allowing a connection !!! Why ? Firewall is turned all off !

Hello, Did you use SCE to push the agent or manually install the agent on clients? Does this issue occur on only a paticular client or all clients? I would suggest you some similar threads or articles for your reference. Please tell us what are the steps that you have tried and what are the results. maybe u can help me right now heres the first part of my setup now I got one error left @ ADWS: First I chose the Win08 Standard, after installation I disabled the ipv6 because my nat router isn't using this protocol. ip4 is configured to local network, nat router includes a internet connection. Gateway(NAT-Router) is 192.168.0.1 and the IP-Adress of my Server is 192.168.0.2. DNS is done on the WinSrv itself, will configure this after dcpromo. PING the NAT-Router - works. Using Internet - dont works - need to get the dns-service. So now I'll look for errors. Shows me Time-Service Error - I'll fix this after dcpromo too. Now I'll do the dcpromo: - FQDN: SERVER.local - Forest functional level: Windows Server 2008 R2 - selected at additional options: DNS server Now checking FQDN and Internet: First changed the Computername from various to ESS, so the FQDN should be ESS.SERVER.local, both working. First fixing the Time-Service problem: - Clock is now running right, and Time-Service errors didn't appear again. So Client will obtain this time too. Now I have two errors and some warnings left: Errors: ADWS, DfsSvc Warnings: ADWS, DNS Client Events, DfsSvc, DNS-Server-Service, Kerberos-Key-Distribution-Center To fix the ADWS problem I found an article on technet "AD Web Service Error 1202" he wrote something about problems with port: "ADWS couldn't establish a connection to it on the GC port" thx to Joson Zhou, so I just disable the firewall and this error went away. To fix the DfsSvc error I found two articles first I set up Delayed Autostart for it, after this: Verification To test DFS Replication’s ability to communicate with AD DS, open a command prompt window and then type the following command: Dfsrdiag pollad /verbose. The command should report Operation Succeeded. It succeeded... but after the restart the ADWS Error came back, the warning to the ADWS Error told me something about missing CA. Do I have to create a certificate ? I'll try some thing until somebody could help me :), snapshot is done ADWS show Error 1202 and Warning is 1400 :( //but after this error some information is telling me that everything has startet correctly, I'am a bit confused about this... Now I told the AD WebService to start delayed, error went away, maybe this is the soulution!!

At least I got some warnings, but i think everything is running ok: ADWS Warning 1400 - about 1sec later it says - 1004 Active Directory Web Services has successfully started and is now accepting requests. DirectoryService 2886 - after this - 1394 All problems preventing updates to the Active Directory Database have been cleared. New updates to the Active Directory database are succeeding. The Net Logon service has restarted. DNS Server 4013 - after this - Event 4 - The DNS server has finished the background loading of zones. All zones are now available for DNS updates and zone transfers, as allowed by their individual zone configuration. And now I got the SPN Error - 10154 - but it was already discovered here, so I'll try the soultion right now. To fix this I added to the Network Service - Validated Write to Service Principal Name after this the Error went away, now I'll set up Essentials System Center 2010. - now I'll do a second snapshot maybe I've done something wrong so please tell me :)

System Center Essentials Setup: At first I add a Service Account for Essentials, called it SCE and added it to the Administrators. Following Components I've installed: - System Center Essentials Server - Reporting I got one warning: WSUS valid date, updates will done while Installation progress. Now ISS has to be installed and I'll install the SQL-Server local. The management account is SCE, added it and tested it, Credentials Accepted. -Third snapshot. After this about 20 Updates were aviable, let the server install them. Now I'll configure the System Center Essentials. At first I added the SCE-Admin-User ti suppy the GOPs - tested - working. After this he asked for adding Firewall exceptions, I let him creat them. Did not enable the Remote Assistance. Told him to Automatically discover and manage alle computers. Diasbled the Dailyy Health Report(I'll setup this until the SCE is working) No Proxyserver - after this sync. Now it asks me Which appications I would like to monitor - selected: Windows Server 2008 R2 SQL Server05/08 (Required) Windows Server Update Services (Required) Set the ERROR Diretory to C:\ERROS and marked that the error will be forwarded to MS. At update configuration I chose Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows XP (will be my test client). At the languages I just took English. After this I took the recommendedway for the classifications: - Critical Updates - Service Updates - Service Packs The approval I'll do on myself later. Now I think it will take some hours.... Spend about my whole day on this setup again, hope the clients will be accepted after this.

Now I just have a simple questin, I think everything is running finde, but at installation I got some Erros Event ID 15151 MSSQL$Essentials Cannot find *various* objects !!! What can I do ??
November 11th, 2010 11:17am

Hi, I think you are using SQL 2008 Express edition, which is a built-in component in SCE 2010. The Windows event log may contain several application error log entries as described below. These errors can be ignored safely. Source Event ID Description MSSQL$Essentials 15151 <tt class="sysout">Cannot find the object 'database_audit_specifications', because it does not exist or you do not have permission.</tt> Thanks,Yog Li -- Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. thx for response, the solution was to set the run as accs @ data warehouse sql/reporting sdk and data warehouse action. At least I got 1 Error and two warnings (Server is running fine, and client too) @Health Service Script - Event ID 4000 GetSql2008DBSpace.js - something with wsus (but at the moment I did not include updates!) and something about SQL FullTextSearchMonitor, but this is beacause I didn't configured it, I think. Maybe there is a soulution, than I'll find it, but I read I can just Override it.

- Event ID 4000 GetSql2008DBSpace.js this i fixed by installtion of the backward compatibility - something with wsus (but at the moment I did not include updates!) and something about SQL FullTextSearchMonitor, but this is beacause I didn't configured it, I think. disabled it. Now I have one question at least, HOW I USE WSUS :D, is somewhere a guide, it does sync all updates are shown there, but HOW I apply the updates ? NIIIIIIIICCEE !! Updates started automatically !!! At least try to publish software, than Ill setup a productive server, thanks for reply yog li, thanks to sermet :D, if someone has a questin maybe i can answer it now :) and software deployment works fine, great product :)
