SCE07 auto discovery doesnt work
our setup (SCE Server): win 2008 x32 SCE 07 SP1 installed fresh SCE created GPO's and clients are applying this GPO AD: s2008 x64 AD under 2003 schema format AD and DNS hosted on the same server. single domain environment client machines: SCE-created GPO is applying ranges from vista SP1 > windows 7 OS's. if i scan for domain machines manually, SCE picks up the machines ok. automatic discovery is set to occur every day at 9am, however it's been configured for auto discovery for atleast 1-2 weeks now and is not detecting machines at all. im expecting around 60-70 domain connected machines to appear, but current state has been the manually-added 23 machines. i am new to SCE, so it could be something really obvious, but from the initial setup wizards of SCE, everything should work fine 'out of the box'

Hi, Before moving on, I want to confirm the following: 1.Are the all clients not be detected automatically or the specific clients? 2. Ensure the administrator account is the built in domain\administrator. 3.Is the SCE installed with DC in the same server? Then perform the following: 1. Stop the OpsMgr Health Service on the management server. 2. Delete all files in C:\Program Files\System Center Essentials 2007\Health Service State\Health Service Store by default. 3. Start the OpsMgr Health Service. 4. Check C:\Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2007\Health Service State\Health Service Store to verify the files were recreated After that, try running device discovery wizard to see if it works. If the problem persists, please check if any error message prompt when detecting clients failed. Meanwhile, check the event viewer if any error message with related symptom. If any, please post it for further research.
