SCCM is sending client to users automatically
Hi,
I am very new to sccm. I intended to install FEP 2010 for which I installed sccm 2007 R3.Before that i extended the AD schema. My AD contains 3000 users.I followed following links for installation & configuration
http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/487-how-can-i-install-sccm-2007-sp1-in-windows-server-2008/

I defined AD boundary in SCCM which contains all my users, but didn't select install client option at any point. Just after the installation, SCCM started sending sccm client automatically to each of the users including remote ones, causing bandwith choking
Now my questions are
What promopted sccm to install clients on computers automatically. Is it usual or did i do something wrong
How can i stop this since i read somewhere that it keeps trying to install for seven days.
Regards

Hi,
Go to the Client Push installation properties and remove the check mark in Automatic Client push installation. For information about how to stop the ongoing installations check this post

In addition to what Kent said you can stop the ones that haven't worked by deleting all the files in the ccrretry inbox.
