SCCM client installation
Experts,
I have successfully configured SCCM Server and try to push the Client, but no luck. then i have access the server share and installed manually and restarted twice. when i checked the Advanced tab in Configuration Manager in Control panel, try to discover
the site code. it give the "Automatic Site Discovery was unsuccessful".
ccmsetup.log shows
<![LOG[Failed to send HTTP request. (Error at WinHttpSendRequest: 12007)]LOG]!><time="17:05:46.346+-600" date="10-09-2010" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="2" thread="2000" file="ccmsetup.cpp:5740">

12007 = ERROR_INTERNET_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED. So make sure that the client can resolve the MP's name.

Hi,
When you push the client, could you find any error in CCM.log on your site server?
Also, Did you try the web browser test? Connect to http://<SCCM server>/CCM_Client in a web browser.
If it failed, go to IIS and expand Web Sites - CCM_Client
Right click CCM_Client and select Permissions.
Add 'Everyone' and give them Read permissions.
Finally you need to make sure you have opened the necessary ports on your computer if you configured a firewall:
More information on what ports that are used can you find here

You don't have to worry about the WMI messages above, because the siteserver was able to start the ccmsetup service on the remote machine, plus you've already got a ccmsetup.log on the client. My question is still not answered: is the client able to ping the
MP using name and FQDN?
October 14th, 2010 12:52pm
I am not able to ping the SiteServer, which MP Configured. but i am able to verify the MP from IE using the below command in Client machine.
