SCCM child/parent hierarchy
Hi - I am having a problem with replication to a child site from my central site. I tried preinst /sycchild from the parent and got " <XXX> is not a known site code. If I remove the child from the parent, and rejoing it again after clean up, do I need to change the site code? If not, are there any issues I need to consider if I don't change the site code? Thanks you. Mike

Hi Mike, You don't need to change the site code (you can't change the site code unless you reinstall the site). Add the parent/child relationship again and make sure you have: 1) The correct permissions configured 2) A way to perform the secure key exchange 3) The docs - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632349.aspx and http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb680457.aspxKent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/ | The Danish community for System Center products

Hi Kent - thanks, done. Any reason why the locks won't come off my collections when I set the parent site to "none", or does it matter as I am going to rejoin it to the parent again after I clean up the DP and clear off all packages. Thanks, MikeMike

Hi Mike, It can take a little while, I'm sure they will "unlock" after some time.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/ | The Danish community for System Center products
