SCCM and PowerShell
Hi Everyone, Currently, we have a small yet well-running Configuration Manager environment. I'm trying to come up with ways to expand and advance the functionality of our environment. One of the things I have been doing more reading on is PowerShell and using it with our SCCM environment. So, I have been putting together a justification document listing the benefits of me taking the MS PowerShell for Administrator's training class. I am going to provide that document to my managers and will hopefully succeed! What kind of neat and helpful stuff have you guys been doing with PowerShell? Keep in mind we perform NO scripting in SCCM whatsoever right now. If it could help in the area of reporting, OS and App deployment, I would be able to provide the most convincing argument. Thanks in advance, Sean

Darn, as much as I would love to attend that session, I am not able to go to MMS this year. Thanks for pointing that out to me!

Using Powershell with ConfigMgr makes no sense to me, because there are no cmdlets available out of the box. So you have to use standard WMI methods. Additionally there are not many PS examples for ConfigMgr available on the internet and the ConfigMgr SDK contains only vbs, vb.net and/or C# example.
