SCCM and CIFS compliant filesystems
Hey there,
Before I waste anymore of my precious time trying to make something work that could be impossible, I thought I would pose the question to MS and the SCCM community.
I have an existing 1.2Pb SAN with all of the software, OS images and drivers our organization uses already nicely organized. The filesystems on this SAN are all ZFS and fully CIFS compliant.
Can I use my existing SAN to house my OSD, Software and Driver sources or do I REQUIRE a Windows based Fileserver? Obviously I don't want to have to build a 500GB Windows Fileserver either using physical disks or carving iSCSI
chunks from the SAN just so SCCM can find the source files.

That should be fine if a computeraccount (IOW the account of the site server) is able to read from that thingy.
