You can get the configMgr client GUID from the controlpanel applet (Configuration Manager) at the client the ConfigMgr console (Client Properties) remote when executing wmic /node:[remotesystem] /namespace:\\root\ccm path ccm_client get clientid Miguel Rodriguez

The GUID is also stored in smscfg.ini - but what's the reason for that question Mrinmoy Saha? What are you trying to achieve?Torsten Meringer | http://www.mssccmfaq.de

thank you very much to all of you for this valuable information. what my intension is (if it is possible) when we will use VPN SSL for our clients, at that time if it will detect that in that particular client machines SCCM agent is installed then it will confirmed that this machines is compliance or you can say this client is from our own organisation not from any 3rd party and it will added some extra privilegde access.

Simply retrieving the SMS GUID would not fit for your solution then. Other systems might VPN in with a SMS GUID of their enterprise or even an old GUID left over. You would need to compare the result to the ConfigMgr database, but I don't know how to achieve that.... Or additionally query for the assigned site. Have you thought about using NAP for your purposes? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb693725.aspx Miguel Rodriguez

thanks Torsten. so that means suppose if we push the agent for 100 client machines then 70*100=7000mb of data will transfered through network?
