SCCM Windows Performance Monitor
Quick question. I am running SCCM on a Windows 2008 64bit server. In my collections when I start Windows Performance Monitor on a client it always defaults to show the perfmon data for the SCCM box itself.I have to connect to the remote machine manually to get this information and even then I lose out on the useful cpu/memory dynamic graphs.I have file/print sharing enabled on the 2008 SCCM box and no firewall.I am just wondering if this behaviour is by design as it seems odd having to manually specify a machine when I want to look at the Windows Performance Monitor data? The other remote functions such as event viewer, resource explorer, diagnostics etc all work perfectly.Any advice is appreciated.

#1: on 64-bit, you might need to run %windir%\syswow64\perfmon in order to correctly see / use 32-bit stuff.#2: Per Kukjin Lee "I am glad to introduce a new TechNet forum for Perfmon.http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/perfmon/threads/" So for Perfmon specific questions, possibly a better resource in that forum for some nitty-gritty perfmon question.Standardize. Simplify. Automate.

I am having this exact same issue. I can't work out if its a bug, or by design. When right clicking on a SCCM client -> Start -> Windows Performance Monitor, it loads a local instance of perfmon. I can then "Connect To Another Computer" (using the same instance of perfmon) and it connects and works fine.I too am using x64 Win2k8.

Hello Noel, Have you found a way to make it work? I am having the same issue. It loads a local instance of PerfMon instead of a remote session. Is it normal (by design) or it's a bug? I've looked everywhere on the Internet and I can't find any answers... Thx...
