Hi, I've been reading through these forums and haven't yet found a solution to what i'm (hoping) to achieve ... i'm still new to SCCM and Task Sequences so hoping someone can help me out! Ideally what i'd like to achieve is a task sequence that does the following: - run a selected script - reboot the machine - run a selected script (copy some files; install some software) - reboot the machine a second time I would like this task sequence to: - start running at log-off - not require any user input 1) From the testing that i've done, when assigning the associated advertisement to have a mandatory scheduled time of "at logoff" the task sequence doesn't seem to get triggered at logoff. (Note I know all files have been downloaded to the sccm cache before logging off). Once i've logged out and logged back in, not long after the login i get the opportunity to run the task sequence. However due to the setup of our machines, this needs to occur at logoff - not logon - and it needs to occur predictably. Q: is this possible via SCCM? i.e. can i get an advertisement to predictably run at logoff or will i need to use some sort of (non-SCCM) scripting at windows logoff to look for outstanding advertisements and force them to run? 2) In the task sequence itself, the first step and restart work fine. The task sequence then sits at the windows login until credentials are added. Once logged in to windows the task sequence continues. Q1: Is it possible to run this sort of task sequence (with multiple reboots) without storing some sort of auto-logon credentials? is there a way to force a script to run prior to windows login or is this limited in terms of what is available prior to login? Q2: if auto-login is the only way to achieve this, what is the best/most secure way to set this up so passwords aren't visible to all users? Any help / suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!
